Remembering the Fallen: Supporting Memorial Valor Foundations and Gold Star Families
Some events bring a community together for a day. Others remind us why community, service, and remembrance matter long after the event ends.
Yesterday, we were honored to attend the 9th Annual Memorial 3-Gun Competition hosted by Memorial Valor Foundations, an event that brings people together in support of a mission centered on honoring the fallen and remembering the families they left behind.
We spent part of the day watching the competition before joining our friends from The Bearded Bee Brewing Company to help serve guests during dinner. It was a privilege to contribute our time to an event that supports something bigger than any one person or organization.
More Than a Competition
We have been repeat sponsors of the BeeYard 500, an event that raises money for Memorial Valor Foundations. This year, we were grateful to support the cause in another way by volunteering our time at the memorial competition.
Sponsorships and fundraising help support a mission, but showing up matters, too. Giving our time, working alongside friends, and being part of a community that cares are small ways we can help keep that mission moving forward.
We are thankful to The Bearded Bee Brewing Company for the opportunity to be part of the evening and to everyone who worked to make the event possible.
Remembering the People Behind the Sacrifice
One of the most meaningful parts of the evening takes place after dinner, when Gold Star Families are given a platform to honor their loved ones and share their stories.
These moments bring the purpose of the event into focus. Behind every fallen service member is a life, a family, and a story that deserves to be remembered.
Listening to families speak about those they have lost is a powerful reminder that remembrance is not simply about recalling a name or recognizing a sacrifice. It is about honoring the person who lived that life and recognizing the families who continue to carry their memory forward.
Their stories deserve to be heard. Their loved ones deserve to be remembered.
Community Is About Showing Up
At RW Realty of NC, we believe relationships and community are built through more than business transactions. They grow when people show up for one another, support meaningful causes, and contribute where they can.
Supporting Memorial Valor Foundations is one way we can put that belief into action. Whether through sponsoring the BeeYard 500, volunteering at the annual memorial competition, or simply helping make an event possible, we are grateful for the opportunity to participate.
We left the event thankful for the people who dedicate their time to this mission and for the Gold Star Families who allow others to hear and remember the stories of their loved ones.
Thank you to Memorial Valor Foundation the volunteers, the participants, and the families who made this evening meaningful. And a special thank you to Seth Amidon, The Director of Logistics for the Foundation and Our Friends Derek and Keri at the Bearded Bee Brewing Company for being our Local Wendell Connections to this great cuase.
We remember the fallen. We honor their families. And we believe their stories should never be forgotten.
Watch the VIDEO for a glimpse of the day and the community that came together to honor this important mission.
